Thank you public holiday for existing!

Heyy guys!! I’ve realised I generally start off my posts with a “Oh my word campus is so hectic!”. Today there shall be none of that (but, it still is really hectic).

We had a public holiday on Monday because Workers’ day fell on a Sunday, BOOYAH LONG WEEKENDS! and last Wednesday South Africans celebrated Freedom Day with a mid week vay cay! How did I spend my middle of the week special?

Doing a photoshoot with the sweetest, most humble girl I’ve met at res!

Nibha, my model for the day asked if I was free as she wanted some cool pics, and thanks to democracy, and Nelson Mandela, I was. She was incredibly shy at first, but quickly warmed up to the camera. And my camera warmed up to her, she was really easy to photograph. Her roommate tagged along and helped, especially with loosening up Nibha and throwing in some confidence boosts. Their friendship reminds me of me and my own best friend!

So introducing Nibha…

Yup, we picked up leaves and threw them in the air. Oh Autumn I love you!

We then proceeded to the student centre where this amazing shot happened. Hello skirt goals.

And we tried to be as silent as possible while shooting these, as a few students were studying, or as Witsies say it “chowing course”….

I think we’re out of the woods? (What’s a post without a little swift reference??)

And on to outfit #2. We shot these at the parking lot at our res. Girl looks classy AF!

This is actually one of my favourite snaps from the entire shoot. I think the official term is SLAYY!

And last but not least, Nibha strutting her stuff down our make-shift runway!

Obviously after this, I went back to my glamorous life of studying extractive metallurgy because hematizing roasts for the win!

Hope you guys are having a great day!
