Impulsive photography and new friends

Hey guys! I hope everyone is surviving the cold and bitter feeling exams can leave us with, and looking forward to the holiday up ahead. I know I am, especially as I suffer from last paper syndrome, in just a week I’ll be home doing absolutely nothing! (Yes mum, I’ll get the dishes done before you’re back from work)

Exams have meant a huge creative block for me! Luckily, while I was chilling with two recently made friends at res, an idea sparked! I’d been seeing these amazing smokey portraits on instagram and while my pictures don’t look exactly like them, I put my own spin in the moment.

The guy in focus, Kailash was vaping and once I saw the vapour, the proverbial lightbulb in my brain switched on. We were in Trushiel’s room and he has a projector, which equals so many photo opps, you can see the amazing pic of him I took out here. Thankfully he was nice enough to not think I’m weird and was keen to take the pics, here are some of my favourites!

I love how they look in black and white! He then went to his room and brought back the coolest thing I’ve seen since portable mini projectors that let you watch Harry Potter on your ceiling! It was a bluetooth projected keyboard for your phone! So we played with that as a background for the photos and they came out trippy AF but so incredibly cool!

I mean….

Yes my camera may have wigged out a little but I like how they came out… Especially since there was no pre planning or much time taken to take these…

Anyway, I hope everyone has a good week ahead!
