My Spring Mood 1: Crisp and Clean

Hey everybody! I hope I’m not jinxing things when I say the cold front is finally behind us and it’s time to get into Spring with full swing! Well in Jo’burg at least. Anyone who knows me can attest to the fact that my love for florals is semi disturbing. I can’t help it tho! It’s so fun, and often just looking at it cheers me up. But, during this transitional season I found myself attracted to styles lacking that intense floral look. Relax, you’ll find my florals in the minor details now.

So welcome to part one of my Spring lookbook, don’t forget to check out part two coming soon, I may or may not bombard you with a pattern frenzy there. How huge is the blue and stripe trend right now! I may have a top, a dress and skirt in the print. I genuinely love how it looks, I got my shirt at a street market in Bangkok, but you can get something similar in almost any store right now.

I kinda went full on glam here, throwing on some nude heels and this statement necklace from Lovisa. I just love the puffy sleeves!

And the, I wanna call it paper bag, effect of the top at the shoulders.

My second look brings me straight back to my floral ways with my choker and the tiny fun details on the sleeve. I hope the cold shoulder trend never dies out, I never show my arms, but boy can I work them shoulders…

I picked this gorgeous top up at the sale rack in Koton, you guys I love this store so much. Someone please bring this brand to South Africa! Also, how cute are these KG sneakers?? The cutest thing about them? They’re super affordable, and comfy and get you loads of compliments. What more can you ask off a shoe?

Lastly… I was on my way to Woolworths, to buy some fruit, when I walked past Legit and this top called me in, made me try it on, and then made me continue to purchase it using my dad’s card. It’s such a classy style, that I could probably wear in 3 years and people would still think I’m on some kind of trend.

I love that embroidery is such a big trend right now, I’m still on the lookout for a great pair of embroidered jeans! Let me know if you know of any! And what do you think of these looks? What’s your current favourite style?

Hit that follow button so you’re the first to hear about part two!

Love and light, Cayla
